When in 1992 the Damm brewery left this site, the opportunity arose to recover the space that had been occupied by the bottling and distribution plant.

The new block interior combines children's play areas with leisure areas landscaped with orange trees, Lombardy poplars, mimosas, tipuanas and palm trees.

In naming these gardens after Montserrat Roig, L'Eixample pays homage to one of the city's most important chroniclers and the person who knew so well how to convey the magic of these block interiors that she always frequented.
